UX
RESEARCH.

Understand the people behind the clicks. Interviews, surveys and usability testing turn assumptions into practical direction for your website or app.

What this service does

Start with people. Design with purpose.

Before deciding what to build, we help you understand who it is for, what people are trying to do and where the current experience gets in their way. UX research connects those everyday needs with the decisions your business needs to make.

We shape the research around the project: discovery for a new idea, a closer look at an existing journey, or task-based testing of a prototype. You receive clear findings, their limitations and prioritised recommendations your design and development team can act on.

Typical deliverables

What we can
create together.

01

Research planning

Define the questions, audience, recruitment approach and evidence needed before choosing the methods.

02

User interviews & surveys

Explore people’s routines, motivations and pain points with conversations and focused questionnaires.

03

Experience & competitor reviews

Review existing journeys and comparable products to identify assumptions, gaps and useful patterns.

04

Personas & journey mapping

Bring research themes together into practical audience profiles and end-to-end journeys.

05

Task flows & information architecture

Organise content and actions around the tasks people actually need to complete.

06

Usability testing & recommendations

Observe people completing realistic tasks, then prioritise improvements and define what needs retesting.

How we work

Clear stages.
Fewer surprises.

01

Agree on the decisions the research needs to inform and who should take part.

02

Listen, observe and gather evidence using methods suited to the question.

03

Identify themes, map journeys and separate observed problems from assumptions.

04

Recommend practical changes, communicate the limitations and plan the next test.

A strong fit for

Research at the right moment.

  • New websites or apps with untested assumptions
  • Existing digital journeys that leave people confused or stuck
  • Teams choosing which product changes to prioritise
Research in practice / Swim Saga

Real people.
Better questions.

For Swim Saga, interviews and surveys explored how swimming families and coaches share updates, find events and manage privacy. Those needs informed the app’s content structure and key journeys.

A documented four-person phone-prototype test then identified practical refinements, including more readable headings, clearer story-posting steps and useful context on the followers screen.

Project evidence: Swim Saga UX Research, pp. 9–18 and 29–30; Swim Sage Styles and prototypes, pp. 13–16. Findings describe this exploratory study, not a measured live-app outcome.
